Sawnee Mountain Preserve offers wooded trails that wander past abandoned gold mines to overlooks of Blue Ridge peaks. There are over 3 miles of trails available for walkers, runners and hikers. All trails connect and are part of the long range trail system planned for Sawnee Mountain. Please click on the link below to view our trail system map. Trails are for foot traffic only and are designed for all levels of hikers.
The Indian Seats Trail is the main trail within the Preserve. The Yucca Trail and Eaglet Trail are short connection trails. An observation deck sits at approximately 1680ft at the top of the Indian Seats Trail.
